EPSP Batch 1
The first batch of Executive Program for Sustainable Partnership (EPSP), was conducted from November 2014 to January 2015. In line with the formulation of the partnership involving three main sectors, which are: government, private sector (business) and NGO; the participants of this program at the outset come from the three elements of these sectors.
Philanthropy, sustainable development, effective communication, creative & innovation, and organizational behavior are some of the important learning subjects that became the basis of capacity-building programs to build knowledge regarding sustainable partnerships. EPSP participants are also given the opportunity to go to the field, and later to prepare the partnership prototypes which can be implemented and deliver a sustainable result. The field activities are to review and learn an ongoing model of selected partnerships, conduct project reviews and provide recommendations for further development of the partnerships that are being reviewed.
Results from the groups of EPSP batch 1:
- Semende Group that took the focus of observation on the CSR activities in conducting partnership with PT Bukit Asam and Yayasan Al-Azhar Peduli Umak and also the villagers of Pelakat Village of South Sumatera in building micro-hydro power plant facilities;
- Selinsing Group succeeded in exploring the reclamation scheme of tin mining land in Selinsing East Belitung that involving partnership with PT Timah, Tbk, East Belitung District Government and Inter-Enterprises Cooperative;
- Parental groups examine the efforts to form three-party partnerships: farmers, local government, and PT. Vale through institutional reinforcement of pepper farmers in Pekaloa village, Towuti sub-district, Luwu Timur district, South Sulawesi.

Anies Baswedan, PhD - Minister of Culture, Primary and Secondary Education
Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Ph.D., iis the current Minister of Culture and elementary and secondary education. Formerly he was the President of Paramadina University. He is the initiator and chairman of Indonesia Mengajar (Teaching Indonesia). As a student, he was actively involved in the Indonesian student movements during Suharto’s period. He is known as one of the few Indonesian student leaders from the early 1990s movements to win a Fubright scholarship and study abroad for graduate school. He is now a prominent political analyst and highly respected young leader in Indonesia. He is also known as one of Indonesia's youngest university presidents. Baswedan holds a Doctorate in Philosophy from Northern Illinois University, a masters degree in Public Policy from University of Maryland School of Public Policy, College Park, , and a degree in Business Management from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He has received several distinguished awards such as the 2010 Yasuhiro Nakasone Awards, the 50 Distinguished NIU Alumni Awards, The Bina Antar Budaya Award (AFS Indonesia) the Fulbright Scholarship, the 2004 Gerald Maryanov Fellow from Northern Illinois University, Indonesian Cultural Foundation Scholarship in New York and William P. Cole III Fellowship from the University of Maryland. He was also awarded the JAL Scholarship to attend Summer Session of Asian Studies at Sophia University, Tokyo Japan when he was a student at Gadjah Mada University
Bima Arya Sugiarto Ph.D - Mayor of Bogor
Currently, Bima is the Mayor of Bogor and is still actively teaching at Paramadina University, Department of International and Postgraduate Relations. As well as a consultant and entrepreneur, Bima is also known as a motivator and inspirer who has many innovative and creative ideas. At the age of 26, Bima obtained a Master's degree in Development Studies from Monash University Australia and then started his career as a lecturer at FISIP Parahyangan University Bandung. In 2001 Bima moved and joined as a lecturer at Paramadina University. In 2002 Bima received a scholarship from the Australian government to pursue doctoral studies in Australia, which was completed in 2006.
Desi Anwar - Senior Journalist/Host, Metro TV
Currently Senior Journalist/Talk Show Host at Metro TV, Jakarta, producing talkshow 'Face2Face with Desi Anwar.' The program has featured many prominent international figures, e.g. The Dalai Lama, Sir Richard Branson, Richard Gere, George Soros, Christine Lagarde, Karen Armstrong, Muhamad Yunus, various heads of governments and heads of states. Also host of 'Tea Time with Desi Anwar' featuring Indonesian personalities. Have been in the Journalism and Broadcast Industry since 1990 starting with RCTI (Indonesia's first independent TV) as pioneer TV Reporter, Anchor and Executive Producer presenting Indonesia's prime time news bulletins Seputar Indonesia, breakfast news Nuansa Pagi and producing prime time current affairs magazine 'Liputan Khusus'.
Co-founder of Astaga.com, Indonesia's first web portal, before joining Metro TV as Consultant and trainer when the station first aired in 2000. I hosted a weekly talkshow on politics 'Today's Dialogue,' economic issues 'Economic Challenges' and English news 'Metro This Morning.'
Have experience as GM Marketing and Business Development and heading Media Services Dept. producing TV Talkshows, advertorials, TV ads and creative placement for clients. Responsible for Metro TV's overall business strategy and generating marketing tools, networking, strategic partnership and developing new revenue streams for Metro TV and leading a team of 50 members.
Prof. Dr. Emil Salim - Ahli Ekonomi, Cendekiawan
Prof. Dr. Emil Salim is an Indonesian economist, scholar, teacher, and politician. Emil is an international environmental figure who has received The Leader for the Living Planet Award from the World Wide Fund (WWF), the world's largest and most experienced independent conservation agency. He was also the recipient of the Blue Planet Prize in 2006 from The Asahi Glass Foundation. Previously, in 1994, after completing his position as Minister of State for Environment and Population, Emil and his colleagues such as Koesnadi Hardjasoemantri, Ismid Hadad, Erna Witoelar, M.S. Kismadi, and Nono Anwar Makarim established the Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI Foundation), an NGO engaged in environmental conservation.
Felia Salim - Vice President Director, PT Bank Negara Indonesia
Felia Salim adalah seorang ekonom, profesional dan aktivis Indonesia. Sejak 2008, dia menjabat sebagai Komisaris Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) dan kemudian menjabat sebagai Wakil Presiden Direktur pada bank milik pemerintah tersebut. Selain aktif di dunia korporat, Felia juga dikenal kiprahnya sebagai aktivis di bidang sosial. Bersama Yayasan Sejati, ia terlibat dalam pendokumentasian kearifan lokal di Papua, Sulawesi, dan Maluku selama tiga tahun. Ia juga pernah aktif memimpin TIFA Foundation sebagai Pejabat Sementara Direktur Eksekutif Kemitraan bagi Pembaruan Tata Pemerintahan pada tahun 2002, lalu kemudian duduk sebagai Ketua Dewan Pembina Yayasan TIFA pada tahun 2003. Nico is the President Director and CEO of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, prior to that, he was the Head of Country of BP Indonesia. He has more than 28 years of excellent career in oil and gas industry, leading and managing people in various areas of responsibilities including legal, supply chain management, operations, human resources, security as well as communication and external relations. In the last 10 years, he has provided coaching to colleagues at all level in the industry in the area of leadership, communication and intercultural. He is a certified coach from CTA, Oregon and Corporate Coaching International based in LA.

Dato’ Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, MBA - Founder, Mayapada Group
Dato’ Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, MBA is an Indonesian entrepreneur, a banking and property magnate, and a philanthropist. He is the founder of the Mayapada Group, a holding company. His business includes banking/financial, print media, premium TV, property, hospital and duty free shopping. He is also active in many social activities.
He received many awards from prestigious, national and international institutions, among others are Chancellor Citation form University of California, Berkeley, US; Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 from Ernst & Young and All Asian Leader Magazine; Lifetime Achievement for Business Leadership & Financial Service 2013 from World Chinese Economic Forum; Satyalancana Wira Karya from the President of Indonesia..
Tanri Abeng - CEO, OSO Group
Tanri Abeng currently is a CEO of OSO Group. He previously held several other prominent positions, including President Commissioner of Telekomunikasi Indonesia Perseto Tbk from 2004-Commissioner of PT Sepatu BATA from 1989 to 1998, President Director (1980-1991), and President Commissioner (1991-1998), of PT Multi Bintang Indonesia, President Director of PT Bakrie and Brothers (1991-1998) and President Commissioner of PT British American Tobacco Indonesia (1993 to 1998). He was elected to the People's Assembly of Republic of Indonesia for six years (1993-1999) before becoming Minister of State Enterprises (1998-1999). A graduate of Hasanuddin University, he earned his Master's degree in Business Administration from State University of New York, Buffalo, and completed the Advanced Management Program from Claremont Graduate School in Los Angeles.
